I don't eat it because I just don't like the taste. If I want a mild fish, I will eat flounder, trout, swordfish, etc.

Curious on other people's opinion?

Mine does have the HACCP seal, whatever that is worth.
I love it, but my housemate won't eat it anymore.

Looks like Tilapia is the new white fish, replacing the more expensive Cod and Haddock in restaurants. Last I looked it was close to six bucks a pound at Publix.
Not long ago when we had our ranch in Florida, our pond was loaded with them, wife used to feed them, they were like pets, they would come around when she was by the shore. I offered to catch some, but she refused to cook them if I did.do you eat tilapia?-1f1dd23e-fdd7-4867-b5d9-287340c09e4a.jpeg

Tilapia is not a suitable substitute for cod or haddock. We went to a "seafood" restaurant and I asked about the catch-of-the-day. The waitress said it was tilapia with crabmeat sauce. Heck, tilapia isn't even seafood, it's a freshwater fish.
