I miss restaurants with REAL food. Not things like chicken with stripes painted on to make it look grilled. It doesn't look grilled. It looks fake. Not mystery meat. Not stuff out of a can. Not stuff that was delivered by a Sysco truck.
I miss Kellogg's Mueslix Cereal. I can't find them in the stores anymore, although it is still available online.
Post's Great Grains cereal is good, but I liked to get Mueslix sometimes as an alternative.
Back in the 70's and 80's, you used to be able to buy these 9 inch cream pies with the graham cracker crust. They came in chocolate, vanilla, and coconut. I can't remember the brand name. It was not Sara Lee, although their cream pies aren't available anymore either. Rather, it was the cheaper version. The pie was thinner. I think the bakery that used to make them went out of business.
Come to think of it, it's hard to find those frozen fruit and pumpkin pies as well.
For those who mentioned discontinued candy bars such as Sky Bar and Zero, you can get them one of the the many old time candy sites or the Vermont Country Store (which carries Sky Bar, but not Zero):
Loquats - They are so delicious!! We had a tree in the backyard of my childhood home but haven't had any in years. I look for them at farmers market but no luck
Cinnamon Hot Dog Gum - the chewy version of an Atomic Fireball
Butter Nut, Butter Brickle, Hollywood, Milk Shake and Big Time candy bars
