A friend gave me a jar of homemade sweet pickled green tomatoes.

They are disgusting, as far as I am concerned.

Before I throw them out, I thought I would ask if there is any way I can use them, or any recipe incorporating them that would salvage them.

I don't like sweet pickles either.

I would try them with bread and butter and a bowl of baked beans.

What a waste of perfectly good green tomatoes! I love fried green tomatoes but pickled ones don't do it for me.

I made some and it's pretty good. There's no difference between using green tomatoes or cukes really, they both are just something crunchy to soak in the juice. I didn't love the ones I made, because it contained cloves and I hate cloves.
