Oddly enough we don't freeze sliced bread but we do freeze bagels, Italian bread and assorted rolls and such. We leave them in the bags that we carried them in from the store and then put those bags inside of a paper grocery bag. We found the perfect setting on our microwave for defrosting these and they stay very fresh for about a month.

It doesn't seem to matter where we learn how to store it, someone will have a different or better way. I freeze it or keep it in fridge until it is opened. Then we leave it out. By keeping in the fridge we have never had a problem. We have more trouble when it is left out. I had some frozen hot dog buns I took out of freezer about 4 weeks ago, thinking we were going to have chile dogs. We did not get around to having them until Sunday; the buns were a little dried out but certainly not spoiled in any way.
