I want to try New Jersey Tea from this native shrub (see link). It was used as a substitute for imported tea during the American Revolution.

I have seldom felt as ripped off as I did when I bought a case of Luzianne on amazon. It tastes like...nothing. I left it behind when I moved. What do all you Luzianne fans find to like in it?

My preferred teas: Trader Joe's English Breakfast for iced, Twining's Ceylon for hot, no additives.

There is only one tea plantation (I think?) in the US located in Charleston SC.

Yes, thanks for clarifying that. I figured it had to be heated.

I drink milk in tea and half-and-half in coffee. Sugar in tea, but none in coffee.

Teas been around way before coffee. Early civilizations have been drinking teas.

Sadly America doesn't have a good tea drinking population. Ask folks what people think of teas and most Americans could only think of Snapple.

With milk it dilutes the tea flavor. With fat cream it changes the texture of the tea and makes it a bit more creamy and frothy such as a chai or macha latte.
