But how much air fried food are you going to eat?

As much as I eat fried foods, it makes sense to eat them when I want them. Maybe because I didn't grow up eating fried food all the time, I don't eat fried foods that much.

And we do eat out a lot. I generally eat a sandwich of some sort, then I add a green salad. If the place we do makes bad salads (one place we go, they chiffonade lettuce for sandwiches, and use the same lettuce for salads...just awful) I choose potato salad. One place we go to every three months makes amazing fries. We always get the fries there.

That's up to you. There's no minimum or maximum. These fryers are very fast too. These fryers are a good way to cook anything you would normally fry, bake or broil. Of course you wouldn't use one to make a cold sandwich. I think many chain restaurants will be utilizing these fryers soon. It's basically convection cooking so comparison to actual frying is misleading as no oil is involved unless you wish to spritz the items with olive oil or another choice.

I had fries last night and I'm making more, right now. But, considering I'm baking them...don't think this applies to me.

They said more people who ate fries died in the study... were they eating that with a burger? And what else.

Someone who eats fries twice a week probably isn't into healthy eating in general.

Why? One can eat in moderation.

For example, a small order of fries has...

230 calories
11g fat (1.5g saturated)
29g carbs
160mg sodium
0g trans fat
0g sugars
3g protein
3g Dietary fiber
8mg Vitamin C
10mg Calcium

Compare that to some of the "healthy" side dishes people eat.

Well, they died. I think that speaks for itself.

Why are you being difficult?

Those who ate the fries died earlier than those who did not (in the study).

Now give me hints on how not to mess up my carbonara!!!

I doubt this is going to convince McDonald's to change its motto to "Baked, Not Fried!"

I always doubt these studies. How can you control for all the other factors that go into whether or when a person is likely to die? One food more or less isn't going to be lethal. How do we know whether 213 of the goners weren't drunk drivers who broadsided buildings at high speed? Maybe they had cancer before the study ever started. Maybe 11 of them shot themselves. They never tell you what the people died of.

Don't add cream.

BTW - I'm not trying to be difficult. I just adhere to the principle of "moderation."
