It is likely not getting above freezing here to day, some ice and light snow, so makes sense to take out some frozen bean soup for dinner. Of course we will have cheese/garlic toast with it and probably sliced fruit. This weeks menu actually called for soup today as it is one of my bridge days, but Bridge may be cancelled.

I want pizza tonight but DH could live without it so I'll see what he wants. I'll still get my pizza regardless.

It is miserably cold and everything is covered in clear ice. Beans with a lot of smoked ham, corn muffins with corn and cheese. Maybe small crepes with berries in red wine/honey syrup.

Yeah, that's what we are having. It will be a homemade pizza utilizing some homemade spaghetti sauce we already have on hand.

I think tonight will be leftover night, but fridge contents are saying to make chop suey, so I use up the rest of the water chestnuts, celery, and bean sprouts. I'll make it vegetarian because I am craving those and no meat.

I know DH wasn't excited about last night's menu (he will eat anything though), and he was surprised how much he liked it.

It is 76F today in NJ...doing some work in the garden @ Magoo Manor.

Charcoal grill is being pressed into service this evening.

I split a whole chicken down the middle, liberally sprinkled with Adobo this morning..
Each side will be placed on the grill with a brick on top.

Some tall heads of Romaine lettuce, again, split down the middle will be grilled, and served with soy, garlic, ginger, scallion, lime, and sesame oil dressing.

Chilled Pinot Grigio...

Wife made a lovely Puerto Rican style Flan for desserta.

It is February vacation week for my boys. We spent the day doing fun stuff and found ourselves in New Haven CT this afternoon. Of course that means we had a late lunch/early dinner at https://pepespizzeria.com/

We ordered a pepperoni for the boys.

And a mushroom and salami for us. Kind of a crappy picture as this one was on the bottom of that tray thing they put on your table.

Dessert will be leftover pizza.

Man, I'd love one of their cheese and anchovy "ah-beets".

You gotta quit showing-off with those photos. Those last two photos even smelled like pizza.

Now I want pizza, but we really do not have anything that looks like that for 30 mile radius.
