that would be cuttin' into my Fishin' time. :~}

they cut me loose because I am a retired LEO and know three of the arresting officers .. the Defense asked me if it would likely affect my decision..my answer was; 'Oh, Hellya!'

I think Magicshark posting that pizza pic swayed me into pizza mode;

I think a plain Square Sicilian pie with fresh basil, mozzarella, and crushed San Marzano tomatoes and a lovely antipasto will do nicely for dinner...

going out to get the dough and cheese and salad makin's

bottle o' Ruffino Chianti and some cannoli will round it off.

That IS a real nice vintage sign at that restaurant, Magic.
Would that be the Riserva Ducale Gold Lable? One of our favorites. We also like the Banfi Classico Riserva.

no way, not with something like pizza..I don't have Tony Soprano's budget...
(You always see a few bottles of the Gold at the table in The Sopranos reruns.)

I order the Ruffino Riserva ducale Oro at nice Italian restaurants ..but I am not going to drink it at home with homemade pizza.

Most dinner wines for home are modestly priced...8-13 bucks a pop.

the low end Ruffino table wine I had last night was 8.99...

I didn't get any pictures last night. Well I did get this one of my husband freshly grating the parmesan and Blitzen cleaning up his mess.

Tonight will be grilled marinated steak tips, corn on the cob and some five grain blend mix thing I bought.

Have a wonderful day everyone!

My dog has the same "chore" of cleaning the floor as I cook.

Boneless skinless chicken thighs are happily paddling in buttermilk and hot sauce. I will get some bread going. Grilled chicken sandwiches with slices of Vidalia Onion, home made spicy cucumber pickles, sweet/hot sauce and a big green salad. Summer is here!!!

Burger, and chips in Ireland. Of course, they managed to make it taste weird. It seems they mixed something into the meat and then cooked it into a hockey puck. €14.

I’ve been saying bad things about GB food, which is all true, but the desserts are really fabulous. DH and I split a yuuuge piece of lemon meringue pie for lunch, and it was great.
