I am taking out of the freezer a veggie lasagna someone brought us when hubby was in the hospital last month. I will probably just have sliced fruit with it and maybe a basic green salad. We are about veggied out for awhile.

Well he seemed to like his piece quite a bit! My eleven year old ALWAYS gives him some of his meal. Blitzen is fourteen now so I totally allow this spoiling. Allow? Honestly I encourage it.

So tonight I am cooking up the country ham we bought while down in West Virginia. We have been soaking it for three days, changing the water multiple times a day. Serving with stuffed tomatoes and English muffins. I am going to have my husband make either red eye gravy or maybe hollandaise sauce. I am a little up in the air about it right now.
Here it is with Dr. Pepper and sweet pickle juice. I foiled it up good. I am using Alton Brown's recipe.

magicshark, that ham is making my mouth water.

It will be a pork night for us as well. We are having garlic pork roast (stuffed with spinach and mushrooms); mashed and gravy, and cornbread.
