DH is going to pick up some nice pretzel buns or something and will do some angus burgers with all the veggies.

(post knee replace) A couple from church brought us: baked ham slices
crowder peas
fried green tomatoes
fried okra
mash potatoes
sliced (ripe) tomatoes
yeast rolls
peanut butter pie (this was a first for me.never eat any or made it)
They are avid gardeners & cooks, so all was delicious & as well as appreciated.

I have never understood the slow cooker thing.

I enjoy cooking, and most of my cooking is in cast iron. If I want to make a soup or stew, that does go in stainless, but it can simmer on the stove for a few hours with occasional simmering.

Tonight is salmon steaks, little roasted potatoes, kale and a margarita.

I think I might bake bread tomorrow.

I wonder if anyone's ever made "baked" potatoes in a crock... just chucked them in whole & left all day or overnight? Guess you'd need a bit of oil or liquid?

Tonight was another "I'm exhausted" dinner. Microwaved a potato. Not much, although to be fair, the potato was the size of R.I. If I can muster the energy to walk 10' to the fridge, I may splurge on a Punk IPA.

Enjoy your weekends, All.

Lol, sheena! I switched to a different beer tonight.

A Philly cheesesteak (takeout) and watermelon. Drank English Ales Dragonslayer IPA.

Happy Friday everyone!

I had some Marie Callender's tortellini in red sauce and a couple of cherry plums.

Not bad... I swear I'll cook something this weekend.

BASS (Big Ass Shrimp Salad). 107° here today. We don't get those temps in north Idaho! I am officially in He!!

Took me forever to clean shrimp, prep veggies, make salads, let them chill for a while in the fridge ... we ate in front of the TV in the bedroom, only air conditioned room.
