Emergency substitution. I cannot find the chicken thighs I could swear I had. Pork chops instead. I will get to the “dreamy” chicken recipe soon.

Dang, I now need a dictionary to read dinner menus.

MS, when small I lived in a 'hood in NEPA with a lot of Syrians & Lebanese & loved the food. Those foods plus Greek & Indian are top of my list.

It was 95 degrees here, so I'm glad I tossed a hunk of roast beef in the crockpot with a fresh ear of corn & some mushrooms before I left. When I came back, the house was nice & cool... but, I was too tired & hot to bother eating, if something weren't already made.

It's 6pm, still 90 degrees & I've still got bright sunshine coming through the windows. Today's toaster oven outdoor effect is a bit much, but it's gonna be sad when the winter hours come along. I'll be so mad, I might have to spatchcock a chicken.

Sounds good! What exactly is celery salad?

All you middle eastern food lovers should come visit me in Richardson, TX (just north of Dallas).

We have a huge mosque and an even huger selection of Lebanese, Persian, Egyptian, Afghan, etc. restaurants. Most of them label themselves as "Mediterranean", but if you pay attention it's not hard to figure out what they really are.

I'm serving those Costco Bibigo chicken and vegetable soup dumplings tonight. They are so good. I'll also make a mango and blackberry salad.

The baby has decided to sit on my sciatic nerve and make my upper right thigh numb, as if I needed another excuse to not really cook anything. She's just so cute.

I looked up the stew and it looks, really, really, good.

Okay, no hurricane warnings, no traumatized friends, everything back to normal.

I was going to make this awhile ago, and didn't.

Chicken breast with sun dried tomatoes, marinated artichoke hearts, feta, pepperonicinis, on a bed of arugula, and a side of broccoli if it hasn't gone bad.
