Getting ready to prepare Korean style elk, rice and stir-fried bok choy. This recipe has a little sriracha in it and will be my DH's introduction to the condiment.

It's going to be complimented by an old Civil War era oatmeal pie and ice cream. Strange bedfellows.

I'm on a kick to see how long I can go without grocery shopping. Reduced things enough for me to tear apart the fridge and clean it, pantry echos....

Will help make room for all the holiday foods and such.

Tonight will do pasta with sun dried tomatoes, pepperoncinis, some mozzarella and stuff.....

My thin sliced brussels sprouts sauteed with garlic and slivered almonds will be served with either steamed or yellow rice.

Pineapple and blackberry salad for dessert, plus a piece of pecan pie for moi. I MIGHT share.

I told DH to have a big hamburger for lunch.

One of my favorite simple meals.

1 can of Hormel Chile with beans.
1 can of Hormel Tamales.

Dump in casserole dish with lid.
Heat in microwave.
Serve with good bread and Crystal Louisiana hot sauce.

Boneless chicken breast pan fried until golden brown, added a mango sauce. Cooked a bit more on low. Did a roasted yellow rice. The 90 sec one that goes in a microwave. Put the chicken on the bed of rice. Poured the remaining mango sauce over it. Turned out really good. Ice tea to drink for me. The other half had his usual beer.

Those apples gave me an idea. I have a bunch of apples that need to be used, and now I know what I'm doing with them.

Leftover chili with cornbread and the Rotel dip everyone loves to hate. My family likes to add it to their chili.
