Ate dinner for b'kfast, so dinner will be as many oranges as I can handle... still have 10 to use before they turn into furry pumpkins... which I'm guessing will be midnight Friday.

Have a good beginning to your week, All!

How could you even cut it?

Thank you, thank you! It was REALLY hard to cut it. Took a bunch of pictures before I did.

BTW, I made the pinecones and the holly and berries out of molded fondant, as well as the meringue mushrooms. First time making all. Couldn't believe how well everything turned out. We all found a new love of espresso flavored frosting as well.

Potato, leek and white bean soup. Tomato and cucumber salad. White wine of some sort. Fruit salad with Cointreau.

It is super bittersweet working in the kitchen today. I no longer have to be careful not to trip over Blitzen. On the hand I no longer have to be careful not to trip over Blitzen.
I'm so sorry for your loss. I can honestly say that I know how you feel. We lost three canine family members last year. It wasn't easy

((Hugs)))

Broiled NY Strip steaks, green beans, baked potatoes. Tecate beer to drink and key lime pie for dessert.

We split DH's dinner from the other night - shrimp scampi, slice each of Texas toast, garden salad, wine (C), beer (Mr C).

I’m so sorry, Magic, I had not heard until today. I understand because we lost a dog unexpectedly, in the past few week too.

Tonight, we had a big roasted pork chop, enough for two, mashed potatoes, and green beans. Cookies for dessert.
We’re using dinnerly, 3 nights a week, which is a stir fry most of the time. It’s fine, but sometimes you need a real slab of meat, and mashed potatoes. We are blissfully full.

I made split pea soup with the leftover ham and ham bone, and artichokes.

We have way too much food in the fridge so any combination of those or soup are up for grabs.

Artichokes are off limits - they are mine.

Still using up Christmas leftovers so I had two very small yukon gold baked potatoes with butter and salt and half a toasted Italian sub -- I added a scoop of very rich ricotta cheese when I retoasted it and it was delicious. My son and husband finished off the roasted filet with mashed potatoes and roasted carrots and garlic bread. I spent so much on food in December that I will happily eat grilled cheese and soup throughout January -- AFTER I eat every leftover in the refrigerator.
