My husband was out of town for Valentine's Day so we are celebrating tonight. Unfortunately, I gave up liquor for Lent, so I can't have any wine with my meal! It is going to be a long 40 days, people! My husband joked that I'd better skip the sip of wine at Mass as well as he would be afraid that I'd drain the chalice. Anyway, tonight we are having:

crab-stuffed filet mignon with a peppercorn sauce (usually, I make a whiskey peppercorn, sauce, sigh); roasted red potatoes; grilled asparagus and white chocolate cheesecake for dessert.

Tonight will be leftovers or maybe take out pizza.
magicshark, everything looks wonderful. Was there a place setting for Blitzen? I think we will have a rack of lamb for Easter this year.

I am cursed. I've been meaning to make my ham & peanut & veggie fried rice that I already posted about all week and it still hasn't happened.

I'm afraid to type that we'll have it tonight.
