I don't booze till 3:00 am anymore...but when I was in college it was either Big Boy, which was open all night I think, or Kraft macaroni and cheese.
These days if I wanted to eat late for any reason it would most likely be whatever leftovers I could find in the refrigerator or peanut butter and jelly or some kind of Stouffer's frozen food or maybe Kraft macaroni and cheese.
My pick for the forth meal is a cheesy bean burrito. I make one using any easily melted cheese stirred into hot refried beans and fill that tortilla with the beans, jalapenos, and a little onion and I'm good.
This thread was inspired by existing "What's for breakfast/lunch/dinner/snack?" threads. We don't have a thread for the late-night meal you eat after coming home from going out. (The one Taco Bell refers to as "fourthmeal".) What would be your food of choice? Factor in all forms of "going out", provided that enough time passed since dinner to get hungry again: boozing and dancing until 3:00 AM, a low-key night of board games, and anything in-between.
The floor is open!
To start with my own input, it'd be a Hot Pocket if I want something warm, or a bologna sandwich if I just want to fill my stomach. Something I can make without effort or an attention span. Because tiredness, alcohol, or both.
My smile for this morning as we haven't been up past 11pm in years. When we do get home from an late early to you night out, we usually just grab a glass of wine. We might have a handful of nuts or a couple of cookies but that is about it. When we were young and active we would stop for breakfast after a late night, but never have we considered fixing much of anything after we actually got home. Now days when the younger crowd is getting ready to go to bed, us oldsters are getting ready to start our day.
We didn't have diners where I lived in my 20's when I would stay out late, but we had Waffle House. To this day, I'm convinced all the grease in a big plate of Scattered, Covered, and Chunked works some voodoo magic to avoid hangovers.
yep, independent restaurants or waffle house was our go to place for those early breakfasts but that was so long ago.
I can't either. But the pot pie could be from Banquet (if on a budget) or Marie Callender's (if not). That's only a 5-minute wait. And it's microwaved, which hell of a lot safer than an oven, when you're tired or buzzed.
I can't imagine wanting a pot pie so much that I would microwave it.

Banquet or Marie Callender's pot pies can be heated in the oven, and I'm sure they taste better that way too. But that's something I'd do for dinner or a weekend lunch, not a late-night meal.
If I'm tired from going out, I generally just go to bed instead of eating again, even if I'm hungry.
