I saw bottles for the first time yesterday at Wal-Mart, so maybe they're making a comeback. These were 1L plastic bottles.

I have no problem with the water from a can, but some water in plastic bottles have chemical taste - not sure if influenced by the bottle or the cap.
There are many producers of flavored and unflavored sparkling water:

I get comments everyday from my co-workers when I open a can - there's one guy who yells "BUUUUSSCCCHHHH" every time - like the old Busch Beer commercial... I look into the recycle bin when I drop an empty can in and think - Damn - those are all mine!!... 1 or 2 bottles didn't look as bad

As I said - the canned tastes better - the "essence" hasn't faded or what ever you call it.

My favorite is coconut. However, these days I mostly drink Dasani black cherry - love that stuff!

We like the Perrier Lime much better. Or the Pellegrino.

I’ll need to try La Croix, since I’m drinking a lot of sparkling water lately.
I got a bottle of San Pellegrino grapefruit that was amazing, but it disappeared from the store.
I’ve settled on Bubly lately, and I’ve liked the flavors I’ve tried so far.
I dislike the harsh taste of Perrier, and I returned a case of Dasani to the store because the raspberry lemon flavor tasted like mold.

Note that La Croix has no sweetener, while San Pellegrino contains sugar.

I accidentally bought a bottle out of a machine, not knowing it came in flavors. I couldn't get past the second sip.

No Jay, the SPellegrino was just flavored water, not the sweetened kind.

Where are you buying them? Where I live, only the sweetened versions are available.
