Oh I don't have a problem with it...do what makes you happy! Just the ones I've seen aren't very good photos

No I have never done it. I think it’s incredibly vain.

Really? That seems a bit dramatic.

I have occasionally when I had a specific sushi restaurant that I loved and wanted others in the area to try it. Their presentation was always beautiful, the food was delicious and the owners were so nice. Unfortunately we've moved away. I miss eating there!

I've never taken pictures of food at a restaurant but I think it's pretty common. I know from talking to servers that it can be a bit annoying because it slows down service. So if you must take pictures of your food do it quickly. Now y husband takes pictures of his own cooking and posts it to facebook frequently. It's not my thing though. Food is just food to me whether it is pretty or ugly lol.

There are a gazillion terrible photos out there , so yes it’s not that taking photos of food is weird or a problem but the quality

I have a habit of doing so. I don't post them on social media but just because I like to keep a visual record. More so if I am on vacation somewhere in a foreign country or an unique restaurant. Also, sometimes when I do a Yelp review I like to post the pictures to enhance the review.
I do it on the rare occasion when I want to send the picture to someone I want to make envious!

Some people do it half-way through, or after their babies worked on the dishes, and post on Yelp. Ewwww!
I love sushi rolls, they are so different everywhere.
