Same here! Even when using it for tuna salad. I drain the excess oil, and add mayo. That's how everyone made it when I was a kid--oil-packed tuna was IT. Oil-packed is also good for an antipasto-type sandwich--a little vinegar and seasonings, without mayo. Yum.
IMO oil-packed tuna is much more flavorful than tuna packed in water.
