The best salsa will be LOCALLY MADE, therefore fresher.

Hands down the best jarred salsa is Mateo's . It's sold nationwide and carried in most Costco stores. It truly tastes like restaurant-quality salsa.

Make your own tastes best and takes very little time to make.
Tomatoes
Red onions
Cilantro
Lime juice
Salt and pepper
Done. It's that easy. Play around with the portion until you've felt was right. Enjoy

It is hard to decide but I will go with Pace or Trader Joes. Actually I do make about 60 jars every summer. Of course we give a lot of them away, but because we do so much in the summer it is rare we have any reason to purchase it. BTW on another thread just a few minutes ago we were discussing the use of salt. Has anyone checked the high content of salt in store brought salsa? We use pretty much none in what we make.

Costco has a salsa called Organic Jack's that is good and chunky. For supermarket styles, I prefer Green Mountain Gringo.
