I just make my own from an assortment of chopped vegetables that I like.
Tomatoes, celery, onion, garlic, jalapeno, lemon juice, lime juice, salt and spices.
(I don't like cilantro, which explains why I don't prefer store brands)

There is a good Mexican restaurant near me, and every so often I stop in and buy a quart of their own salsa. It has ruined me for ever wanting store bottled salsa again, and it is cheap.

I'd forgotten about El Fenix. We had friends who lived in Dallas who used to send it to us. Awesome! I see Walmart carries it now.

I make and can my own which is exactly to our taste. And my daughter's home-canned is even better. She gives us a case every Christmas.

We like Pace Picante just fine as well.

I hate any can or bottled salsa, tastes like watered down pasta sauce. Once you tasted fresh salsa there's no going back.

I'm on the east coast and have a Mexican place that is on my service route on this side. I love their green salsa and buy it a few times a year. Mostly though, I make my own pico, a salsa recipe from an '80's BA magazine and I'll sometimes make Xni Pec (shnee peck) sauce if I want something hot which still has flavor. Xni Pec is the Nahuatl term for "dog's nose".

And it wasn’t made in NEW YORK CITY!

That’s one of the few ad campaigns from my childhood that has resonated all these years.

Long ago in a galaxy far away Pace was good, then the company sold out to Campbells...

The best I've found is called "My Brother's Salsa". They carry it at the local Walmart Neighborhood Market, but not the local Walmart superstore for some reason. Their website says Lowes Food and The Fresh Market also carry it in my area.
