Blueberries are strange here. Huge, tasteless and white inside. Where I come from blueberries are smaller, and when you eat them your mouth and your tongue turns blue too. They are fragrant and very tasty...
I remember eating blueberries that sound like what you're describing. Found out that I was actually eating some kind of grape -- muscadine or concord maybe.

I love me some blueberry pie! I plan to make two pies this weekend - blueberry and banana cream pie. Last week on Master Chef the competition was banana cream pie, and they looked so good! I've never made it before so we shall see how it goes.
