My favorite is the waffle fry followed closely by crinkle cut fries and then steak fries. My least favorite is the "shoe string" fry found at Steak ‘n Shake, Freddy's, and to some degree McDonalds.

The thin cut fries get colder faster, and they don’t have as much flavor.

Steak & Shake fries are the size of match sticks. They are terrible.

Curly Qs, crinkles, waffle, steak, skinny in that order, but mainly just properly cooked and salted, then I'm happy.

French fries are totally ok with me! I don’t love skinny ones EXCEPT for McD’s, my favorite would be regular thick, followed by steak fry, curly fry, with waffle fries pulling up the rear. ( Not my rear, I know how to do moderation, Brian )

And please don’t forget about loaded cheese fries, which are a category unto themselves. They require one of the heavier fries.

Regular shaped, about half the thickness of a steak fry. Not crinkle.

I love GOOD French Fries.

"Good" for me, means crispy,HOT and salty. I tend to like thinner rather than thicker. My least favorite are the Steak Fries sold at Red Robin. They are too thick and potato-y. I mean, yes, I want a potato-y taste - they ARE potatoes after all, but I don't want a starchy, experience. But I won't turn down Steak Fries, they are just not my favorite.

Overly skinny fries can get limp, greasy and cold very fast.

Probably my favorite are waffle fries. I also like round "chip" shaped ones. There's a place near me that hand makes them and they are nearly perfect - with ketchup or malt vinegar.

I also like fries in all shapes. My favorite fries are from a small local chain and they are crinkle cut. I don't think the crinkle cut is the reason why they are my favorite, though, as I've had plenty of crinkle cut fries from other places that weren't anything special. But they are always just perfect from this place.
