I have had them. It's a Chinese thing It's really good with jook (rice porridge) since it is so bland. I have never eaten it on it's own and it certainly is not for everyone
Im one to try and stomach just about anything. I’ve ate some really gnarly food throughout the years, but the first time I tried a 100 year old egg, I lost it. I can’t describe the taste and texture it’s so aweful.
My wife who is Chinese eats them occasionally. I have not nor will I ever eat one. Speaking of eggs has anyone tried Balut? It's a chicken embryo still in the shell. Popular in the Philippines. There's tiny little bones and feathers in it. People who have partaken of it say it is a little crunchy. Yum.
I get busy, forget to purge the fridge, and create my own 100-year-old eggs occasionally.
