Old-fashioned beef stew (BHG recipe) cooked on stovetop for several hours.
Oven-roasted potato slices with a little olive oil, rosemary, sea salt and freshly milled black & white pepper, 1/2 cup water.

from my cheap pork butts I bought this morning (.89lb) I may take a couple boneless ones and make some sausage in the casing...
and also mix some of the sausage in stuffing mix....give a real good hearty flavor...and very tasty

Got a couple of small but very nice rockfish today that I'll filet for dinner tonight and saute with Greek seasonings, drizzle of cucumber sauce & a sprinkle of pomegranate seeds on top, and some pretty Roma beans to go with. Oranges for dessert.

Thawing chicken breasts. Haven't made chicken Kiev in years and am hungry for it. But it remains to be seen how fast I get to my task. If not then I will oven-fry them in butter with panko. Making a mushroom wild and white rice pilaf to go with it and tossed salads.

Honey crisp apple or navel orange for dessert.

Tea lovers - last might as I was waiting for a cup of water to warm for my tea I spied a bottle of five spice powder in my cupboard. Curiously experimenting I shook some a couple of times into my tea. Very tasty!

I've never made the hash before, this is one of my experiments into using ingredients I am not familiar with. This is the 2nd time I have used plantains. I am also not familiar with Caribbean cooking, so I will have nothing to compare it to.

Well, since I once again ate dinner for b'kfast... the hazard of slow cooking overnight... after smelling a bit of roast percolating all night, I can't wait to indulge once awake.

So, I'll put a couple of Russets in the small crockpot & let them simmer in a bit of broth... toss in the remainder of the roast at the end. Small Romaine & lemon/oil salad, just to use it up... I don't like veggies much of late... still have some weirdo nonsense going on with my appetite... or lack thereof.

Maybe an O'Dell's IPA later, since I just got a free trial sub & am just going to hang out at home all day binge watching the millions of Netflix TV shows & movies I've never seen. I may even go wild & stand up once or twice.
