We were at Fresh Market yesterday and picked up a roasted chicken for a whole $5. Yummy for tonight:

roasted chicken with herbs
roasted beets
green salad
rice but that is a maybe.
i am getting my act together and going back to my weekly menu starting on Sunday. No more deciding when I get out of bed what to have for dinner. I do not stick to the menu 100% but it does help me plan.

Oxtails finally went on sale this week, so tonight I am making oxtail stew, and I mean loading it with those high-priced tails (our dinner table will probably sound like half-price day at the liposuction center the way we'll be sucking those bones), a crusty French loaf, a garden salad and a bottle of Cabernet.

If we have enough energy left: grilled 2 inch pork chops with a mango/red pepper/jalepeno/red onion salsa and sugar snap peas.

Asian tonight.

Seafood salad, shrimp and squid this time, over a bed of grated carrots and sliced cucumbers, with a kimchi base/honey dressing.

Vege tempura, sweet potato, zucchini and mushrooms, with a sauce made from soft peak whipped cream and wasabi.

Beef tataki, heavily black peppered, seared tenderloin marinated in soy sauce, mirin, garlic, green onions, with a homemade ponzu sauce.
