Takeout from Subway: Steak and provolone cheese sandwich with lettuce, tomatoes and pickles on Italian bread. Drank Muscato wine (instead of beer).

Took a page out of elnina's book and decided to try strawberries topped with a little sour cream and sugar for dessert. Was the first time I've put sour cream on strawberries; they were good!

Busy day ahead, so I think I’ll make a pot roast with the onion and mushroom soup. Carrots and spuds.

well after too much food and wine last night I am keeping it simple: we are having loin pork chops, fruit salad and asparagus. That's it!!! Spoiled brat can get his carb high from the fruit and a nice salad this noon. I am making an effort to cut back on carbs for awhile. I don't mean no carbs by any means, but just limit them a bit. I have been eating too many lately.

Dinner at noon for us today.

I am making egg noodles with Hungarian cabbage. To drink a cup of herbal tea.For dessert mashed banana with quark, a bit of lemon juice and honey.

large Vidalia onion
small cabbage
olive oil
wide egg noodles
salt/black pepper to taste

Sauté onion, add finely sliced cabbage, stirring frequently and cook slowly until cabbage caramelizes.Once egg noodles are cooked mix cabbage dish through the egg noodles and flavor with salt and black pepper. It is such a simple dish, yet a comfort food.

Leftovers from yesterday's dinner out. I had baked Mahi Mahi topped with seafood stuffing with a sweet & spicy coconut creme sauce served over jasmine rice with some lovely steamed asparagus. I have about half left for tonight.
