It's Friday.
So dinner is takeout fish, chips and mushy peas.
Even great chefs are allowed the occasional night off ...

More salmon burgers from last night, corn cakes from the last of the batter, and either a salad or sauteed squash & onions.

Happy Friday!

There are two cookies that aren’t bad.
the good news is you will probably be out of the hospital not long from now. Then you will get to go home and have a decent meal. I was told, when I had my knee replacement the food at that hospital was really good and I was fool enough to believe them. The next few weeks may not be much fun for you, but from then on it is clear sailing: just eat the good food you are getting at home and overlook the aches and pains you are having right now

It is ethnic night for us, so I am doing Chinese: fried rice with pork and chicken, snow peas and mushrooms and home make egg rolls. I might make a very small Asian salad as well. Hope all are enjoying the nice spring into summer weather like we are.

Bachelor Son showed up at three and nearly wiped us out of meal items in one heaping plate. In his forties he still eats like a teenager and never seems to gain an ounce. I love to feed him.

So tonight I made quesadillas and the rest of the cole slaw he left for us.
