The summer just arrived bringing with it high temperatures and unbearable humidity.
Tonight sautéed chicken breast in white wine sauce served with baby potatoes and asparagus. For dessert chilled strawberry soup.
Chicken dish...
boneless/skinless chicken breast
butter
salt/black pepper
finely diced red onion
dry white wine
sour creme
chopped chive and sliced black olives for garnish
Strawberry soup....
Strawberries
plain yogurt
buttermilk
orange juice
bit of sugar if necessary
crushed cardamon
For garnish a dollop of yogurt drizzled with strawberry coulis and strawberry slice
I came home from bridge yesterday and had a huge surprise!!!! our daughters best friend and almost a daughter to us didn't like the air fryer she got for Christmas and knew I was looking for the deluxe type with the layers,etc. So her husband brought it over while I was gone and there it was on the table. I am going to play around tonight and do something special with it I just am not sure what. I could go simple and maybe do chicken, but that isn't much fun or anything new. I don't think I will have time to do anything to fancy cause I have a luncheon date but maybe I will think of something. Whatever, I am going to do potatoes and a veggie on the side.
