Looks like the sun may come out for the first time this week, and if so, we will grill steaks, side of sugar snap peas.

Almrausch, that dinner sounds tasty. I've never had strawberry soup before.

Tonight we are having lemon chicken scallopini in a lemon-garlic cream sauce over linguine, garlic toast, spinach salad and spice cupcakes for dessert.

Last night was ground chicken tacos. I know they are healthier but they just seem kind of blah.

Tonight I will use up the leftover meatballs. They came out ok but I did hear my seven year old grumble about them. I think I will leave the meatball making to my husband from now on!

Thinking to make tonight zucchini slices in beer dough served with a mixed garden salad. To drink Löwenbräu.For dessert under the Maple tree while listening to the birds evening concert homemade strawberry ice cream.

Beer dough batter......zucchini slices,flour,beer,vegetable oil,salt/black pepper,curly parsley for garnish

My mixed salad.....tomato, red radish, celery,carrots,Kohlrabi,cucumber,red and Vidalia onion,curly parsley,olive oil,red wine vinegar,salt/black pepper

My homemade strawberry ice cream.....
1 lb strawberries
1 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 juice of lemon or lime
2 heaped Tbsp. of plain yogurt
1/2 cup whipped whipping cream
( you can substitute strawberries with any type of berries, peaches or even lemons)

Make sure the fruit you choose is frozen for at least an hour.Put frozen fruit in food processor, pulse it,add sugar, pulse again, add juice of half a lemon( if you like add some rind for more intense flavor.) and now pulse til smooth.
Add 2 heaped Tbsp. of plain yogurt, pulse and finally add 1/2 a cup of whipped whipping cream and quickly pulse. Taste test for perfect aroma and if you happen to be in the mood add some liqueur or Schnapps..up to you how much you like to have in it
Transfer in a freezing container or in Popsicle holders and stick in the freezer. If you have it in a container let it sit for a while before scooping in bowls.

Have a cool weekend
