Hurray! the workmen are done! I get my house back! Unfortunately, my sister is back for the foreseeable future. I love her but I don't really enjoy living with her. Oh well. Circumstances will change, just maybe a little slower than I'd prefer.
Dinner a veggie drawer clean-out dinner and made a skillet meal of yellow squash, yard long beans, tomatoes, corn off the cob, onions, garlic, bell pepper, pico fruta, Mexican oregano and lime zest, topped with some grated parm. Crema would have been better, but I was out.
rare treat we went out to eat.....had two lobster rolls with extra melted butter and French fries..... my god, it was soooo good!!!
and a local craft beer..
We made nachos. Fry up some tortilla wedges, grate up some Monterey Jack and cheddar cheese, cut jalapeno peppers into thin slices. Put nachos on a baking pan, pile on the cheese, put a jalapeno slice on each nacho and bake for about 5 minutes at 400 degrees. Put a dollop of sour cream on and enjoy! Don't pig out, because it may burn the next day, but it's a delicious simple meal.
I will do Chinese as I have been planning on doing it for weeks and so far have only done a slightly leaning Chinese meal. This will be a full blown one: fried rice with chicken: pot stickers: Chinese peas as my dad called them . To us they are known as snow peas of course and we will have deep fried shrimp but not reaslly deep fried. I will do them in the air fryer.
