I'm nearly in tears. I came home from a dental appointment to find out our new refrigerator which has sat for far too long in the garage had been given to a neighbor! Oh dear. I'm nearly speechless - half mad as a wet hen and half scared.

This is what the beginning of Alzheimer's looks like. We go along fine for months and then everything shifts to crazy time. Never know what the surprise will be but this one is the biggest yet. He also lost his debit card today. Trying to decide if I should go talk to the neighbor. . .

For supper tonight we aren't tired of the summer favorites yet. We're having grilled elk burgers, potato salad, sweet corn and sliced tomatoes. Watermelon or strawberries and ice cream for dessert.
