Hubby lost a bet, so I got to make us a very non-vegan and non-kosher dish.

I made us toasted sourdough lobster rolls with a side of coleslaw.

It was delicious, but we won't do it again, as we don't usually eat shellfish, and we're just not willing to spend $20 for lobster meat again.

Last night we stopped off at our favorite French/Vietnamese restaurant with the dogs in tow (we had to stay out for open house) and I had a chicken meatball bahn mi, and DH had some spicy chicken sandwich. We broke down and bought macarons for DH and a KOUIGN AMANN for me.

And then WINE.

I had to look up KOUIGN AMANN.

First ingredient: Butter. YES!!!
Described in the New York Times as "the fattiest pastry in all of Europe." YES!!!

I hope that you loved it (how could you not???) and I hope that your house sells quickly.

I will offset your splurge tonight by having a salad. Fine, it's a Caesar salad with lots of cheese in it. And lots of fatty dressing and avocado. But it's salad.
