Next time you're at Kroger look at the Boar's Head cheeses. They make several types of cheeses with peppers.
I buy a Boar's Head cheese I think they call "3 pepper". It's a Jack cheese that's yellow in color with lots of visible peppers. They sell it in the deli case and I get it cut thick because I like to cube it. It's very good.
Someone also previously mentioned the Cabot's Habenero. It's also very good and even spicier than the Boar's Head, IMO.
Umm, not to be a pain, but pepper jack cheese would never be used in 'authentic' mexican food. When we lived in Mexico, I don't ever remember seeing it - not even at the Walmart in our VERY ex-pat area. I like the stuff, but IF you find it in a Mexican grocery, tienda or bodega it's going to be a US based brand. Probably Tillamook or Kraft.
I find the Boar's Head not so spicy (though I admit I'm not a Boar's Head fan so I may be biased against them). I'm still in favor of getting a pepper jack cheese that you like the flavor of, and melts well if that's required for your recipe, and adding the heat.
Sargento's is a little more spicy. But I second others looking for Habanero Jack or other hotter peppers - they tend to be found in the 'specialty' cheese section.
I know what you mean. I like Sargento's. Interestingly, when Wegmans stopped carrying it, I tried theirs; it was as bland as those you noted in your OP. Thankfully, I can get it elsewhere.

Anyone know of a brand of pepper jack I can buy (I'm in Indiana) perhaps online, that has more peppers/spice/flavor?
Bunker Hill Cheese Company (formerly known as Heini's) has a great selection of cheeses including a Fiesta Jack, which is a pepper jack/colby marble cheese with plenty of visible peppers and a hearty kick to it. It's available for ordering online or, if you're in Ohio's Amish Country,they have a large store that's worth visiting just outside of Berlin, Ohio.

Definitely! Dietz and Watson!! It is by FAR the best I have EVER had. I won't even buy pepper jack of any other brand since I tried D&W. Only place I can buy it is at BJ's, but it is worth the trip!! My son loves it too...I take him a pound of it whenever I visit him.
Tillamook makes a good pepper jack, but the peppers are mild. Their jack is lovely. All buttery and tastes like dairy, which is a huge improvement over most jack cheese.

I just tried Google. it appears that the brand name is "Idaho Cheese" because it certainly came right up with google. Its made in Nampa Idaho, in the middle of dairy country.
Was going to mention Tillamook , until the above beat me to it . I assume from the username s/he's actually in Oregon . That's where the Tillamook factory is , and a fantastic place I might point out . In the Pacific Northwest we are pretty lucky to have the Tillamook brand of cheeses and other products . Some of their more esoteric products that are very good are even hard to find in Seattle . I might conclude that means it's really a regional thing . In fact I'm due for a trip down to that part of the Oregon coast , with the cooler , to pick up some interesting cheese products right from the factory .
As for shipping food , like cheese , good luck with that . It's way too expensive to ship stuff like that these days as was pointed out up thread , with the product itself costing maybe $10 but shipping costing 20 . When I'm in situations like that I tend to make my own of whatever it is .
If someone wants to go to the trouble, I suggest you at least try Tillamook . It is not spectacular cheese but for the money I find it exceptional and really will buy nothing else .
