When I'm in Jersey, I always eat at local delis. Here in Denver, that's not much of an option. I ate at Jersey Mike's here once and was seriously unimpressed. I wanted to like it, but... meh. I usually order from Jimmy John's, but only because they have one particular sandwich I really like. Otherwise, I can take or leave that too. Mostly I buy my own lunch meat these days.
What about Snarf's? I loved that place when we lived in Colorado.

Isn't that a chain? We have Snarfs Sandwiches in Missouri, at least4-5 that I know of. I can't imagine there being multiple business with the name Snarf.

You're right. Looks like they have indeed expanded to a handful of locations outside of Colorado. Shows 4 locations in Missouri (all in the STL metro), plus 2 in Austin.
For a sub shop chain, they're really good. Far better than the likes of Quiznos or Subway or Jimmy John's, for sure.
Subs from a quality local sub shop are often better, but these aren't bad at all.
Quiznos reminds me of my dads cancer fight. He used to treat me to a roast beef one with Au Jus gravy on the side. I was heart broken when they closed down. It was the only sandwich I got from them so I can't say how everything else was.

I bought sandwiches there twice and thought that they were pretty good. I never eaten Jersey Mike's food.
Got the #13 The Original Italian from Jersey Mike's today. It was seriously awesome.
I think we finally have one here so it's to Jersey Mikes for us soon. I have heard so many positives about the place and need to find a good sub place. I am not a fan of Firehouse though I used to like it and we are not Which which fans at all. We loved them in Texas. The one here is a disappointment.Just checked, yes, we do have one here. I will make a note to check it out next time we are in the area which isn't far from us.
They just opened up some Jersey Mike's here in Honolulu. I recall trying them in Pensacola. I recall the sub being pretty decent, but I preferred Firehouse Subs more. Still, given the general low quality of subs at other places here, I'll likely make my way over to Jersey Mike's sometime this weekend.
My husband, oldest son and self love a good sub. We’re lucky to live in jersey, the land of many local delis and sub places. We only eat at jersey mikes whenever traveling out of state, like to my parents in Florida.
The local deli 2 miles from us makes the best subs ever.
#13 at Jersey Mike's is the best, nearly as good as local places I've eaten at when I lived near the East Coast. Ingredients taste fresher than the competition, price is higher, but quality overall is excellent.
