Yes we eat it raw, but you can cook it if you want. Buy a small one. They have a mild flavor.

Bahahaha!!! Exactly!

I was going to comment that it has the texture of a raw potato. (Not saying that's a bad thing. I like jicama.)

well I have never tasted raw potato, but when I peel potatoes, they are a lot wetter, the jicamas are much drier.

Cheese and crackers are my go to. Try to make it "healthier" thinly sliced dry cheese, wasa crackers.... almost a health food.

Ligurian Foccaccia with flecks of salted ham and Parmesan. What more do you need for crunch, salt and soft besides a glass of wine?

Those dried snap peas are great. I believe the brand is "Harvest Snap". I recoiled when first offered one but eventually got hooked. A bag is about $1.99 and they have ranch and wasabi flavored. I like the original.

another raw veg we like is daikon, aka Japanese radish. It is slightly hot, & can also be eaten raw or cooked.

I discovered these last night at Costco (they're a couple dollars cheaper there).

A little expensive, but it's a big bag and they aren't really the kind of thing you eat a lot of in one sitting. Sooooooo good though!!!
