Doesn't sound healthy or even good to me - I do butter mine after toasting and sometimes add jam and sometimes peanut butter and jam.

We use a cast-iron skillet to brown EMs and hamburger buns, or whatever bread we have.
Just wipe it off---no washing required. Sometimes I put a plate on them to hold them evenly.

We find the bread much tastier than from a toaster, AND the bonus of eliminating another appliance from the counter. Plus can use olive oil if preferred.

I put them in the oven on a piece of foil.

I don't like toasters; they seem unsanitary to me.

Pardon my ignorance, but how is this done? Do you lather them up with butter, butter a frying pan as well, and cook them that way, or are they deep fried? I definitely want to try this for my next cheat meal!
