Nothing especially July 4th-ish. We will be having Rotel/ChickenSpaghetti, green bean, squah stewed with butter &ring onion & blackberry cobbler made with berries from bushes in our yard. Left-over apple cake/caramel frosted & sweet tea. Too hot to fool with firing up the grill. We are watching the 4th festivities from Washington on OAN & Fox & will watch te President's "do" tonight (Fox & OAN).

Tried to find what time it was going to be on but can't find it. AS I said we will be watching 4th celebrations while we eat.
Why not for America? I am assuming you are saying that tongue in cheek. We did have a wonderful strawberry, blue berry cake, made by our 12 year old great grand daughter last night but it was to celebrate the birthday of our country.
I'm happy to celebrate the 4th of July but no, I would not have a birthday cake with frosting and candles and decorations saying "Happy Birthday America!" Today happens to be this person's actual birthday and the cake is for him, not America, even if overall, we are celebrating both.
Just the two of us so only a smattering of the usual 4th of July food--
baked beans, potato salad, fruit salad, and leftover meatloaf because the ground beef didn't get thawed out, lol. Maybe some ice cream later on. Happy Fourth!
We smoked a beef tenderloin roast, a rack of pork spareribs, a rack of St. Louis style ribs, chicken breasts wrapped in bacon, cheddarwurst wrapped in bacon (kids' fave) and two trays of atomic buffalo turds. Sides were corn on the cob, two kinds of pasta salad, and garlic bread. Served with fresh cantaloupe and strawberries, then after dark we roasted jumbo marshmallows over the fire pit and made s'mores. Everyone was over the moon!
