I like stroopwafel, but as a flurry mix - in, it doesn't seem as if it would be too different than pieces of waffle cone.

I didn't care for it for the same reason, the caramel was too hard. It's also why I don't like the m&m McFlurry.

Last weekend we ordered one of each of the four international items to share and compare.

1. Stroopwafel mcflurry - we actually all liked this one. We are partial to Dutch treats, having spent lots of time in the Netherlands

2. Canadian chicken sandwich - it was just ok, would not order again for the price. I've had better chicken sandwiches at other FF places.

3. Spanish smokey something bacon burger - this was tasty, the sauce was very good in this sandwich

4. Australian bacon cheese fries - gack, these were really bad. We threw out over half the box. In N Out animal style fries are way better. Rally's fully loaded fries - also much better. Would never buy these again - wouldn't even eat them for free.

When I first tasted a stroopwafel I thought it was wonderful. Couldn't find them anywhere around here to buy , so I ordered some online. Then I decided they were meh, OK, and I had a big pile of them. I did SOMETHING with a large number of them (gave them away, put them away somewhere) and I can't remember WHAT I did with them. It's driving me nuts.
You can buy Stroopwafel in the UK, they are just called caramel or toffee waffles. The Welsh company Tregoes supplies a number of supermarkets including Waitrose.

Tregroes Waffles - Delicious waffles and crackers

Haven't had a stroopwafel mcfurry but then again I don't eat at McDonalds.

If I was hungry while out I would probably just grab a sandwich or wrap mean dea from one of the supermarket (grocery) chains or have a sit down and eat in a proper cafe rather than eat fast food or go to a fast food chain.

Weird. I just looked it up to see what made it "Canadian." The sandwich has tomato and mozzarella cheese -- so that's Italian -- and the only thing Canadian about it is that the chicken is grain-fed... in Canada.

I'm going to see if they have the stroopwafel McFlurry here. It's totally up my alley, including that the caramel is hard.

I only eat at MacDonalds a couple of times a year and that's only if there's nothing else around. I get their Happy Meal. However, on a very hot day I will sometimes get one of their ice cream cones. They're a good size for one person instead of being too huge to eat.

But the ice cream machines aren't clean? Anyway, it tastes more like Dairy Queen than ice cream--I don't think it's ice cream. But that's ok on a really hot day when I'm dying for a cold treat. (I do love anything caramel --don't get me started on Haagen Das dolce la leche!) I bet the MacDonalds stroofwafel flurry is good, but I don't know if I'll try it...maybe.

Ha ha! Yes about the machine always being down.
Didn't know they were going international!

I liked it, but at $3-something ($3.29 to $3.79... I bought it a while ago), it put it in "decent, but hardly spectacular" territory.
