McDonald's fries are the best. They also taste the same all over the world, well as far as I've traveled and that's not much, or as much as I would like.
It must been a long time ago you had those.
They tasted real great because..... They used horse fat in the oil..
But nowadays it is no longer allowed.
I lived in the Netherlands about 10 miles from Belgium. Still go there 6 times a year and the fries are just average.
I heard that they eat fries with mayonnaise in Belgium. I like that idea! I have to try that sometime.
Since “other” is an option... out here a few non chain places are cutting their own potatoes, frying them once, very very lightly tempura-ing them, and frying again.
Those fries are like heaven on earth. They don’t sog out, they are crunchy on the outside till they’re gone, and tender on the inside, melt in your mouth good. I no longer eat fries anywhere that doesn’t do that.
I eat it witj mayo here all the time.
What is something different but real tasty.
Mayo, ketchup and onion. Diced.
I could imagine how good it tastes. I can't understand why people don't like mayo because it's so creamy and has such a great flavor and I think it would go perfect with fries. Next time I am at McDonald's I'm going to ask for a packet of mayonnaise and dip french fries in them, if they don't have mayo packet, I'll just bring my own next time.
