We will have an early dinner because we are skipping lunch. Some days we get behind and lunch doesn't fit our schedule. We are having awesome crab cakes from Fresh Market. With them we will have cold slaw and Ramen noodles. I think we may add cookies for dessert. Or maybe something like that a little later in the evening. It depends on spoiled brat and if he is hungry or not. He still doesn't have his appetite back 100%

Putting a ham in the smoker, home fries per SO's request (Alm Roesti:>)) and spicy steamed cabbage. May get a batch of apple-cinnamon buns going as I have some left over mashed potatoes.

Leftovers for us.

I made apple turnovers for the bf to take to work today. I was pretty proud of myself that they didn't suck, lol

I just watched a pbs show with Vivian Howard going around taking to chefs about various ethnic versions of empanadas, hand pies, fried pies, etc.....both sweet and savory. They looked so good. The closest thing I have in the house right now are some Marie Callander Pot Pies. We’ll probably have that for dinner.

Feeling uninspired and DH has shingles.

To entice him to eat we will have lentil / black bean nachos, with cheese, olives, onions, lettuce, tomatoes and avocados, either red or green salsa and pickled jalapenos.

For some reason, hubby wanted to make egg noodles from scratch today, so we're having beef stroganoff with lots of mushrooms. Don't know what else, probably a spinach salad or snap peas. Guinness gingerbread for dessert.

Last of the pulled pork from the freezer, creamed corn, and I made up some fairly quick baked beans with part of a bag of dried cannellini beans using the pressure cooker. They came out pretty good even though it was a guess on quantities and eyeball measuring.
