Staying connected and hearing a little about your lives as well as your delicious meals, really uplifts me and makes my day.

Tonight we are having marinated short ribs, mushroom ragout over polenta, roasted asparagus and strawberry shortcake trifles for dessert.

Sounds good, Praline,. I too, get a boost reading from this thread. Sometime it feels like old friends. I have hazy pictures of regular posters formed in my mind.

I finally upped my game and am making a going-out-for-dinner meal tonight. DH will pick up fast food now and then but so far I haven't eaten anything that I didn't prepare. Probably won't for a while.

Called the kids to pick up a serving if they want to.

One of my favorites:

Fettuccini Alfredo topped with seared lemon tarragon-shrimp and scallops, asparagus and Caesar salad. I think it should have some crunchy homemade rolls along with it but I doubt we'd have room.

Do you have a recipe for the wings? For some reason I impulse bought a lot of chicken wings from Costco today. 5 of 6 packages went straight to the deep freeze.

Tonight I’m making some fried tacos with the shredded beef I made earlier.

Tonight was comfort food night here! Meatloaf, garlic mashed potatoes, savory gravy, and sweet corn. It was wonderful! And it was all vegan. Garbanzo bean/vegetable meatloaf, Mrs B's killer vegan garlic mashed potatoes, the Buddhist Chef's vegan gravy, and frozen sweetcorn. I'm stuffed, now for an oatmeal cookie and an espresso and just maybe a bit of brandy.
