Tonight our granddaughter is bringing by my late BD gift. It is a curb side pick up at one of favorite restaurants: leg of lamb, asparagus and fennel salad, potatoes and dessert. Sounds like the perfect dinner and will be complete with glass of wine.
Meatloaf, mashies and green beans. I've always made meatloaf with bread crumbs/panade, but we decided to try oats this time since we had them. Think we'll be making it that way from now on.
We had grilled herbed salmon salad on greens. (from Firebird's) We also ordered Tripple Black Diamond Pineapple Martinis. I made potato salad.
We each had a very thin slice of lemon glazed pound cake (homemade) for dessert, with coffee.
I haven't been posting much because there are only two of us, and our dining was already less formal before the COVID-19 lockdown.
Since we are both medically comprised and at risk, by virtue of being over 55 and having pre-existing conditions, we have been eating out of our pantry. It has gotten boring.
Firebird's Wednesday special really hit the spot. The drinks were sold in what looked like IV bags.
