Ribs, ribs, and more ribs! My husband and father-in-law grilled massive amounts of ribs and steaks for Father's Day and shared them with a few of our neighbors. Another neighbor brought over a huge bowl of potato salad. I made a Caesar salad, toasted garlic bread and made German chocolate and iced lemon cupcakes. An old guy who lived on our block but who generally kept himself to himself, passed by and looked like he wanted to join us. I invited him into the yard and he shook his head and said he had something to do. About 20 minutes later he returned with a watermelon and several cantaloupes! It was one of the best days I can remember. By the way, everybody was wearing masks and we were about 4 feet apart rather than 6. There were about 12 of us altogether.

A simple dinner tonight. I pulled some meatballs and red sauce out of the freezer. I will serve with spaghetti.
