My husband can't have fresh tomatoes because of the seeds so I would have to seed them. It calls for roasted cumin powder, can I toast the cumin in a small pan? is this dish spicy? I never made Indian food before.

Yes lubby 8 whole tomatoes and I do puree tomatoes as mentioned.I prefer fresh tomatoes over tomato paste, but you can use tomato paste.I always toast my own cumin seeds and then crush them.It depends how spicy you like it.We love it spicy, just add less chili powder if you do not want it too spicy.

The hectic last few weeks have finally quieted down so I can return to my normal life;: that is the life where I ***** because I don't have enough to do!! All we have to do today is feed our daughters dogs cause she is out of town and go recycling, so I will fix a real dinner: we are going to have lemon infuse breaded chicken breasts, fruit salad with fresh mint from the garden and brandy sauce, corn on the cob and fresh green beans.
