And here it's, "Margaret are you grieving over Goldengrove unleaving?" Gerard Manley Hopkins. Guess I should go kick some a' them leaves. Heh.

DH noticed we were all out of beef hamburger and went to get some premium custom ground at our ma and pa. Said he forgot to ask the price. Nearly lost it when he paid $6. a pound.

Told him he better fire up the grill. We'll not going to mix that into hot dish.

I think I’m warming up leftover scalloped potatoes and green beans, with pork cube steaks and applesauce.

I'm trying out a new recipe. Chicken bacon ranch sloppy joes. I thought I had some burger buns in the freezer, but alas I did not and had to make my own buns. Hopefully these will be tasty. If not, well it doesn't hurt to have homemade buns around the house to slather with some butter.

I recently made some burger buns using Chef Joh's recipe from Allrecipes and they turned out great. I'll make these again.

Tonight the husband and father-in-law are preparing char siu pork. I am making spicy cabbage and Creole rice. I made a pineapple cheesecake yesterday and we can finish it for dessert if two-male-piglets haven't gotten to it for lunch.

Leftovers! I am not hating the butternut custard I made yesterday, but I would change some things up next time.
