Pork cutlets, sautéed yellow squash and onions and maybe a slice of cornbread I made to go with the green chile stew the other day.

My youngest turned nine today. He wanted ravioli for his birthday meal so we went here https://www.mareemontitrattoria.com/copy-of-dining-menu. We started with calamari and aracini. The eight year old ordered the cheese ravioli, the husband had chicken parm and I had lasagne. It was really good and here is a picture.

Now my fourteen year old he got this dish and it was incredible!

Fresh gnocchi stuffed with goat cheese & roasted red pepper in a parmigiano rosa cream sauce baked with melted fresh mozzarella cheese and fresh basil. (I stole the description from the menu!)

We are going to take the leap and treat ourselves to a restaurant meal at one of our favorite places. https://www.hubbellhouserestaurant.com/

That means a long drive through southern MN which will also be a good outing.

I see that they are once again closing after Friday so I'm glad we were able to get in. Poor people. How are they going to manage without their holiday income? Sure would hate to loose this gem. It's the epitome of the old-style supper clubs.

I'll probably have their deep fried shrimp, some of the best I've ever had anywhere.
