On this Winter night we had some of Summer's frozen bounty from our freezer. We made several types of marinara sauces as the tomatoes, peppers, eggplants and herbs ripened throughout the Summer. La pasta del giorno, pasta of the day, had our tomatoes of course, eggplants, garlic, kalamata olives, red wine and basil. Served over whole grain spaghetti, along with a salad and garlic toast, and a glass of Pinot Noir. Hey only 54 days until Spring!!!

Last nights stew will end up being tonight's dinner. We got home from our meeting to late yesterday to do the stew even in the pressure cooker. It will be just as good today and maybe even better.
