Really interesting, trying to shop for food when you are sick. Diet food does not cut it. I tried to think of meals for the week, and came home with saltines, sprite, and chicken broth.

I'm thinking about baking a cake...two layers. Chocolate frosting on the outside and a layer in the middle of raspberry seedless preserves. I'm not certain of using a white/yellow cake or chocolate.

Ooh yum! Im torn between the German Tree Cake and the Prince Regent Torte! I'm leaning more toward the torte cake.

Jennie I baked them all and for me the Baumkuchen is Nr. 1 The Baumkuchen is lots of work ,because you do them in layers and the most layers I did was 30 layers.

Alm if my broiler wasn't on the bottom of my oven and I were younger I'd so give that 30 layer cake a try. They are going to be blessed with all the food too.
