Default why do americans keep on to get to restaurant ?

People have less money but it seems that they spend money for restaurant

Good question! I used to live in a county that had the highest unemployment rate in the country, yet the restaurants were always packed.

i guess it's that little luxury they can still kind of afford--or just lazy and dont want to cook--lol

I live in a county that has the highest or one of the highest unemployment rates in the state and the restaurants are always packed here, too. I know some of it is from travelers off the interstate, but they don't account for all of it.

Yeah, half the county was on food stamps and 2/3 of the kids got free school lunches but Olive Garden and Applebees were always packed.

Not all Americans...I've been to a restaurant maybe 5 times in 2 years.

Most people still didn't learn anything from the present economy status. They still live larger than they can afford, don't see the needs to save money. Credit cards are still widely used. Many think - so what? When I get that far, I just file for bankruptcy - I will still keep my house and the car, and most things I have. Life will not change much...
The mentality will not change fast. It will take a generation or two, and lots of learning.
Restaurants are full, the trend didn't changed either.
