Geeze Louise, why can't other Chinese do this, normally there is no flavor to the broth what-so-ever and it tastes like dishwater....

Maybe you need to get out of SE PA and get to some of the Noodle houses in Philadelphia where they make their own chicken stock.

And YOU can't make your OWN won ton soup. It is not like it is difficult.

If you're in southeast pennsylvania, then I will tell you that there are some pretty great places in Philadelphia which do that sort of thing. Actually, what I'd recommend most is eating pho (vietnamese soup noodles with an incredible aromatic broth) in parts of south philly or chinatown or other parts. Philadelphia has surprisingly amazing pho.

Your right there are, been there done that, however, when I want Chinese Food, don't want to drive all the way to Philly....all the time, yanno? Same goes for NYC....but, it's a drive, yanno?

Yes, I can make my own won ton soup....however, when I go to a chinese restuarant, I also want to get the won ton soup, and expect it to have some flavor!

so, I've been to two new places since I posted this, and actually, found they're soup to be very good....so, I won't patronize those other places any more.

So, once again, where are these places? Names? Addresses? Websites?

I've never had trouble with the base for wonton soup being too bland. Maybe you need to live here in Michigan?
